Group Therapy for Adults, Children, Teens and Families

Our Group Coordinator will assess if a group is the most appropriate therapeutic service or make other recommendations.

Therapy Groups are held either at all three of the Wendt Center's office (Click here for a List of Groups)
Therapy Groups are professionally-led
Our fees for group therapy services is $75.00 per session. However, we accept insurance and offer a sliding scale (based on household income) to ensure our services are accessible by anyone in need.
Advance registration and interviews are required for all groups.
All inquiries are confidential.

Our group therapy provides a place for people to express the many emotions associated with grief and trauma in a safe, supportive and confidential environment. Each individual's reaction to their experience is unique and everyone is encouraged both to share his or her views and to honor the views of others. Licensed professionals facilitate our groups for individuals and families dealing with these issues. Facilitators use talk and art as well as other modes of intervention based on the ages and dynamics of the group.

We are now offering several new workshops from September 2011 to April 2012. Pre-registration is required for all groups. To register, please call our Intake Department at 202-204-5021. Please note that dates and times are subject to change. All workshops are $20.00 unless supplies are needed ($10.00). Scholarships are available for those in financial need.
