The Wendt Center is incredibly excited to share with you that 2019 will be the 7th year of collaboration between the Wendt Center for Loss and Healing and Arena Stage for the Voices of Now Program. We are accepting applications now for this year’s teen grief ensemble!
Applicants must be 13-18 years old and have experienced a death-related loss in their lifetime. Applicants participate in weekly sessions (Tuesday nights at Arena Stage; 6-8PM) developing a script about their feelings, thoughts, memories and experiences related to death-related losses in their lives. Ultimately they create a performance of their script to be performed in May 2019 at the Voices of Now festival and the Wendt Center community forum. This is a free program for youth!
This is a phenomenal opportunity for teens who are interested in exploring and sharing their voice, performing on stage, learning about their own grief and educating others about grief and building relationships with other grieving teens. A grief therapist is on site at ALL rehearsals as a support to the ensemble.
