Celebrating the Wendt Center’s Michelle Palmer

We celebrate and honor Michelle Palmer as she steps down as Executive Director of the Wendt Center for Loss and Healing. After 12 years in this role and nearly 25 years dedicated to our mission, Michelle has made an unforgettable impact on our organization and community.

Michelle Palmer
Michelle with resilient scholar

Under her visionary leadership, the Wendt Center launched programs like the Resilient Scholars Project and the Wendt Center Training institute, expanding our reach and multiplying our budget fivefold. Through her compassion, dedication, and fierce commitment to our mission, Michelle has profoundly shaped our work and our team.

From all of us at the Wendt Center, thank you so very much, Michelle! As she embarks on her next chapter, we hold close the words of one tribute, from a longtime volunteer, that perfectly captures the depth of admiration we feel for her.
