We are pleased to announce our new Board President, Wayne Rusch. Wayne succeeds Kathryn Hanley, who served as President for over 10 years.
“Having long supported the mission of the Wendt Center and served on the Board of Directors for five years, I am honored to now serve as President. Kathryn Hanley’s outstanding leadership and dedication over the last ten years make for a difficult act to follow. With your help and support, I will do my best to lead the organization forward. Working with the dedicated staff and Board of the Wendt Center, we will continue to bring essential services to children, youth, and adults as they rebuild their lives after loss, illness, violence, and trauma”, says Wayne.
Wayne brings a wealth of knowledge in corporate, commercial, and international law. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Wayne practiced in Chicago and Wisconsin, where he served as District Attorney for Iowa County for three years. He was appointed counsel to the Asian Development Bank in Manila, The Philippines, where he provided advice on the Bank’s portfolio of investments throughout Asia. He has practiced law in Washington, DC since 1980.
